In addition to the regular Band of Bakers events, we will, from time to time, be giving you all the opportunity to share your baking efforts online. We will publish our favourites in a gallery, on our Twitter account and on our Facebook page, and may use the recipes in our recipe collection at a later date.
The first theme is: Jubilee!
Jubilee Cake by Edd Kimber
Over the past few months, the country has gone Jubilee crazy and this, of course, has also reached our kitchens. Many of us are busy planning a Jubilee celebration or street party and the supermarket shelves are packed with traditional British goodies and Union Jack cakes. If you think you can do better, we would love to see it!
Please email a picture of your bake to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a description of the bake and, of course, your name. If you would like us to include a link to your blog or website, please send us this too.
We look forward to seeing your best of British!
Thank you to Edd Kimber for allowing us to use his photograph of his Jubilee Cake for this post. You can read all about Edd’s Jubilee Cake on his blog The Boy Who Bakes.
